"Operation Bangladesh: Mission 2019"?

"Should I Stay, Or Should I Go" #Mission Fields - 2019 ...

I'm struggling with our "poverty" vs our wealth, and greed and avarice and.... Evil as "Americans".
Remember "WWJD"? ("What Would Jesus Do?" [circa 1990's] I still have the colorful rubber bracelet).  People starving in a land of plenty, vs people starving, literally, and dying, in other lands with little to sustain life.

What did Jesus say about Children, and how to treat them, or what happens to those who cause harm to come to children? Prior to recent "Caged kids" memes and photos flooding Social Media and News, I'm bombarded with these harsh, sad, horrible images. Conversations parallel to "Nazi death Camps"; defenses of "It's very Biblical to enforce the law." - Sandra Huckabee Sanders. Quoting, or 'misquoting' Romans 13... - US Attorney General Jeff Sessions. I start singing in my mind the old movie musical tune: "...those far away places with the strange sounding names, ...are calling, calling me..."  ... Bangladesh, Dhaka, Khulna, India, Delhi, Bombay, Cibu City, Manilla, Philippines... #Daydreaming Seeking "Discernment.... But, I'm told "Staying Is The New Going"...  

My take-away...

 " ...it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

I'm not a "Rich man".... But, ... I got a lot of 'stuff'.... my house, isn't full, but, comfortable; 2 storage units...(Ugh!) ... my beloved dogs, and clothes, and BOOKS.... lots of books.....

But, I look around and see what others don't have. I look around and see this Country--and lately how we're careening off track.... 
("..we're going off the rails on a crazy train.." -Ozzy Osbourne)...

And, then, I see posts by my #Bangladesh friends, some in very, very poor, crowded #Dhaka division, some in #Khulna district...

Su Mon Biplob Das Bip Simon Sarkar Sumon Sumon Hemil Sumon Kumar Das Shimon Sarker Pronob Sarker and others; and I see the Joy of The Lord in these Young people. Friends in #India and #Pakistan too... and a #Faith that is so meaningful to them. I remember being so 'on fire'...so eager to share #Jesus at 19. So much so, I was 'nick named' "Bible Boy" [KJV 1611 only, of course, then] and my friends ran away when they saw me coming. (And, that largely thanks to Summerfield Church (Summerfield) and a "Lay Witness Mission"

All that to say, it's very, very, difficult for me to think of giving up what 'little' I have--for nothing- to desire, want, to go to either India or bangladesh (or even Manilla, Philippines). (Praying for discernment). And, maybe it's just disenfranchisement and disengagement with "USA" right now. I actually hold triple Citizenship: USA, England/UK, and Scotland (Edinburgh [pronounced Ed In Burr] and roots in Wales).

When #Jesus in Scripture goes on to tell the 'rich young ruler' to 'sell all you have...take up your cross, and follow me'; the rich young ruler goes away sad. Understandable.

Parallels to Philadelphia's "26% Poverty" and India's "Caste" system, and the destitute state of Dhaka, Bangladesh with 18 Million people... and still seeing "Americans" greed, avarice and outright, downright Evil! -- makes me long for a land where I see people who are hungry--but, hungry for The Lord. Thirsty--for clean water--but, Thirsting for The Living Water. 

I'm not rich. Wealthy. But, I'm rich, In Christ! In Freedoms. In absolute availability of anything--and I mean anything that can be bought--or traded for!

Yes, for me, on a very, very personal level; it is easier for a Camel to fit through the eye of a needle.... than for me to 'give up' my (material) riches--and follow Him.... into the mission fields of Manilla, Dhaka or Khulna.
